The Sutter County Jail inmate visitation center can be found at 1077 Civic Center Boulevard, Yuba City. The facility has expanded several times since it was originally built in the late 1970s. The kitchen got an overhaul and remodel, while a 148 bed minimum security facility and a 62 bed felony dorm were added. A new 52 bed maximum security single-cell unit was completed in 1999 as part of the program's last phase. Every inmate is allowed no fewer than two visits totaling at least one hour per inmate, per week.

Public Visitation Rules:

• Visitors will be limited to one 30-minute visit per inmate per day (except minimum)
• No more than one person will be allowed to visit an inmate at one time, excluding children
• NO CONTACT VISITS WILL BE PERMITTED
• Inmates will not be allowed to receive items from visitors or to send items out to visitors
• Property releases by inmates may be accomplished during normal business hours (8:30 am – 2:30 pm), Monday through Sunday, excluding holidays)
• No gang affiliated insignias may be worn
• No revealing clothes, swimming suits, extremely short or form-fitting shorts or apparel deemed inappropriate by the jail staff will be allowed
• Appointments are not permitted. Visitors must come to the jail prior to the visiting hours and sign up to visit an inmate. Persons who arrive late will lose their visiting time. A visitor wishing to visit more than one inmate must complete one visit before signing up for a second or subsequent visit
